Nick Coates has been at the forefront of market research for the past 20 years, consulting with clients across the globe – from the UK to Russia to Africa – in a variety of categories including financial services, information and communications technology, and consumer packaged goods.
Early in his career, Nick spent nearly a decade at Research International, where he led the ICT and Financial Services division for South Africa. He then moved on to become the Head of Ipsos Marketing in Russia. With his vast experience in emerging markets, Nick returned to South Africa, where he is currently the Head of Ipsos Marketing for the SA-SSA region.
Nick is a strong advocate and influencer for the adoption of new and innovative research techniques that leverage the latest technology and keep up with the pace of business in today’s connected world. He strives to integrate mobile technology into market research, and is proud to say that 95% of all Ipsos interviews in Africa are now on mobile.
